Objectives of the forum

The objectives of the forum are to:
  1. Ensure special consideration of Himalayan communities while policies are made and ensure wider participation of Himalayan communities in policy-making.
  2. Improve social and economic wellbeing of the communities and facilitate an appropriate development for the Himalayan region.

Nepal devastated by worst earthquake in 80 years

A devastating earthquake of the magnitude 7.8 struck Nepal near Lamjung, 80 kilometers northwest of the capital Kathmandu. The death toll has reportedly risen to 8012 with more than 17866 people injured. Pragya is working to respond to the needs of the affected people.
